Dental Implants

What are Dental Implants?

Dental implants are typically titanium screws surgically that are surgically placed in the jawbone and can be used to replace individual or multiple teeth. In the case of a single tooth replacement, a crown is attached to the implant. In the case of multiple missing teeth, implants can support the restoration of the missing teeth through the support of a bridge or complete or partial denture.

What are the symptoms or indications?

  • A missing tooth or multiple missing teeth.
  • Inadequate retention of a complete or partial denture.
  • Teeth with severe decay or periodontal disease that need replacement (may require additional procedures before implants).
