Dental Crowns

What are Dental Crowns?

Dental crowns cover the outside surfaces of severely broken-down teeth. Crowns can be made of metal (gold or metal alloys), porcelain fused to metal or all ceramic material. Crowns can be placed on natural teeth or dental implants or used to hold a bridge in place.

What are the symptoms or indications?

  • Decay (large in size) in a tooth or a broken tooth.
  • Esthetic appearance of a tooth.
  • Existing fillings (large in size) that weaken the tooth.
  • Restoration of a dental implant.
  • Support a bridge to replace a lost tooth.
