What to Expect

Patients of all ages can expect affordable, high-quality services from caring orthodontists at the CU Orthodontics Clinic. Since our clinic is part of the CU School of Dental Medicine, our patients receive treatment from licensed dentists trained as orthodontists. Expert faculty will supervise every step of your treatment and offer expert opinions along the way.

After your free consultation to determine your orthodontic needs, you will need to attend a series of follow-up appointments. The next visit is a diagnostic records appointment to take photos, full x-rays, and an impression of your teeth. Then comes the treatment and financial consultation appointment, where you will receive a personalized treatment plan and cost estimation.

Lastly, you will need to visit our clinic every four to eight weeks while undergoing active orthodontic treatment. It is critical that you do not miss these appointments to ensure your treatment is effectively completed.

The Orthodontics Clinic accepts cash, check (with ID), debit cards, credit cards, Health First Colorado (formerly Medicaid), and is a Delta Dental in-network provider. The school will accept other forms of dental insurance as an out-of-network provider. We are not accepting BEAM insurance at this time. We do not accept Medicare at this time.

We are always available to help you with insurance claims and paperwork, and we are happy to work with your insurance provider to make sure you understand your insurance benefits.
