The Senior & Special Care Clinic provides our patients with affordable, high-quality oral health care.

• We treat seniors who are 65 years and older who also have other health concerns.
  
• We also specialize in treating patients (16 years and older) with cognitive, developmental, medical, and physical conditions that may limit their ability to receive routine dental care.
  

The Senior & Special Care Clinic (SSCC), located in the CU School of Dental Medicine on the Anschutz Medical Campus in Aurora, Colorado, operates under the direction and guidance of expert faculty. Both the clinic and the school are educational environments for dental students. In this clinic, students serve as patient providers, learning and gaining experience under faculty supervision.

Here are a few examples of the dental treatments provided in the SSCC:

• Dentures, denture fittings and denture repairs;
  
• Extractions;
  
• Fillings;
  
• Fluoride treatments;
  
• General oral health care, like cleanings; and
  
• Oral hygiene instructions.
  

The CU School of Dental Medicine has dental specialists under one roof. We work collaboratively with different departments and divisions within our own clinical settings. For patients who are needing sedation dentistry and operating room needs, we coordinate with our General Practice Residency, which is located on the first floor.

The Senior & Special Care Clinic provides dental services to patients in Aurora and the surrounding communities in the Denver metropolitan area. To become a patient, please schedule an appointment by calling (303) 724-6951 today.

If you must cancel or reschedule your appointment, please notify the Senior and Special Care Clinic at least 48 hours before the scheduled appointment time. Remember that we may need to discontinue treatment for patients who cancel or miss multiple appointments within a short period.

Clinic Hours:
Wednesday & Thursday: 2:30 - 4:30 p.m.
Friday: 9:30 - 11:30 a.m. and 2:30 - 4:30 p.m.
(Closed on all federal and state holidays)

Parking & Shuttle Information:

• Accessible parking is available at the west entrance.
• If the lot is full, go east (left out of the CU School of Dental Medicine) and park in the Kiowa (K) lot, which will be on your lefthand side.
• This is the closest parking lot to the CU School of Dental Medicine. Accessible spaces are available in the Kiowa lot.
• Parking in both lots is $1.00 per hour. Cash or credit cares are accepted.
• Courtesy shuttles are available Monday to Friday: 7:00 a.m. - 3:30 p.m. The shuttle number is (303) 724-1777, press option 1, then 0 for pick-up/drop-off.

After Hours Emergencies:

24-hour emergency care is available for current Senior & Special Care Clinic patients. For emergencies, please call the University of Colorado Hospital operator at (720) 848-0000 to connect with the general practice resident on call.
