What to Expect
Your first visit with one of our dentists will involve a comprehensive examination and may also include dental x-rays. Your appointment will be supervised by highly-skilled faculty to ensure you receive the best possible dental care.
What to Bring
Save time at your first appointment by having the right materials with you.- A written referral from your dentist (for limited care only).
- Completed patient forms.
- Current X-Rays (if available and something you can easily access) from within the past two years from your dental provider, which should be emailed to CUDT@ucdenver.edu (this email is not for referrals).
- Insurance/Health First Colorado (formerly Medicaid) card.
The School of Dental Medicine accepts cash, checks with valid ID, debit cards, credit cards, and Health First Colorado (formerly Medicaid). We are also a Delta Dental in-network provider, but the school will accept other forms of dental insurance as an out-of-network provider as well. We do not accept Medicare, BEAM insurance or medical insurance at this time.
We are always available to help you with your dental insurance claims and paperwork, and we are happy to work with your insurance provider to make sure you understand your insurance benefits. You can also pay your bill online.

After Hours Emergencies:
24-hour emergency care is available for current patients. For emergencies, please call the University of Colorado Hospital operator at (720) 848-0000 to connect with the general practice resident on call.
