Dental Faculty Practice


The CU Dental Faculty Practice is the perfect solution for patients looking for a traditional setting to receive their dental care and who also want the expertise and convenience of a dental school.

A full-service dental office located within the CU School of Dental Medicine, the CU Dental Faculty Practice operates much like a private practice instead of a teaching clinic. Dental care is delivered by faculty members, which means you receive expert care from dentists who are constantly updating their skills with the latest techniques and technology. With board-certified Prosthodontists, Periodontists, Oral Surgeons, general dentists, and dental hygienists all under one roof, you can also receive consultations and specialty care making your dental visits more convenient than ever.

To cancel or reschedule your appointment, please notify the CU Dental Faculty Practice Clinic at least 48 hours prior to your scheduled appointment. Treatment may be discontinued for patients who cancel or miss multiple appointments within a short period of time.

Please bring the following to your first visit:

  • Completed patient forms (will save you time at your first visit)
  • Insurance card
  • Current x-rays (within the past two years)
  • List of medications and dosage information

Before your appointment, you will need to complete the virtual check-in process.

  • Please call us at (303) 724-5505 from your car, or outside the building (if you are using different transportation) when you arrive for your appointment.
  • We will ask you screening questions and let you know when you should enter the building's west entrance.
  • A CU Dental team member will also contact you the day before your appointment to ask screening questions and confirm your appointment.

    Your health and safety are important to us. The CU School of Dental Medicine has several safety protocols and requirements in place.

    If your answer is “yes” to any of the following, please contact your clinic to reschedule:
  • Have you had ANY OF THE FOLLOWING SYMPTOMS (not related to hay fever or seasonal allergies)?:
    • Fever >99.9ºF
    • Signs/symptoms of lower respiratory illness
    • Cough/shortness of breath/difficulty breathing 
    • Flu-like symptoms
    • Chills/repeated chills with shaking
    • Muscle pain/headache/sore throat
    • Runny nose/fatigue
    • New loss of taste or smell

  • Have you had contact with known or suspected COVID-19 cases in the last 14 days or anyone who is symptomatic?
  • Have you been diagnosed with COVID-19 in the last 14 days?

    Again, if your answer is yes to these questions, we will need to reschedule for another date.

The Dental Faculty Practice Clinic accepts cash, check (with ID), debit cards, credit cards, and is a Delta Dental in-network provider. We accept other forms of dental insurance as an out-of-network provider. We do not accept Health First Colorado (formerly Medicaid) or Medicare at this time.

We are always available to help you with insurance claims and paperwork, and we are happy to work with your insurance provider to make sure you understand your insurance benefits. Regardless of insurance status, the patient remains responsible for timely payment of any fees, whether or not the services are covered by the patient's insurance plan.

After Hours Emergencies:

24-hour emergency care is available for current CU Dental Faculty Practice Clinic patients. For emergencies, please call the University of Colorado Hospital operator at (720) 848-0000 to connect with the general practice resident on call.
