The University of Colorado, Anschutz Medical Campus, School of Dental Medicine welcomes applications from exceptional candidates to serve in a full-time, clinical track faculty in the Department of Community Dentistry and Population Health (CDPH). CDPH is the department home for the community-based dental education program known as the Advanced Clinical Training Service (ACTS) Program. The ACTS program is nationally recognized for its success in placing students in over 45 practice locations representing rural and urban underserved areas across the State of Colorado. This program coordinates, manages, and evaluates dental student community-based education activities and experiences. The Assistant Program Director is responsible for facilitating program activities within the program mission in accordance with priorities, time and budget requirements at the direction of the Program Director. ACTS program operations are also supported by a The Department is also home for a post-doctoral Geriatric Dental Medicine Fellowship that has didactic and clinical teaching opportunities available. CDPH is also responsible for teaching in multiple areas of Oral Health including health communication, behavioral health, interprofessional education, practice management, ethics, and public health. A successful candidate will be a clinician educator with some experiential knowledge in providing dental care in community settings, mentoring/precepting students, be able to perform didactic and clinical education, and will have a commitment to working with vulnerable and underserved populations with an emphasis in geriatrics.
Advanced Clinical Training Service Program Dental Faculty - Apply
The CU School of Dental Medicine is hiring a full-time Division Chair of Endodontics. The Department of Diagnostic Sciences and Surgical Dentistry is home to four divisions – the Divisions of Periodontics, Endodontics, Diagnostic Sciences, and Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery. The successful candidate will be an endodontist, outstanding clinician-educator with interest in, and commitment to clinical care, teaching, and scholarship. This position will report to the SDM Department of Diagnostic Sciences and Surgical Dentistry chair.
The CU School of Dental Medicine is hiring full-time clinical track or tenure track Prosthodontics faculty in the Department of Restorative Dentistry. The Department of Restorative Dentistry is home to various disciplines that include Comprehensive Care, Prosthodontics, Operative Dentistry and Occlusion. The duties for this faculty position include teaching, research, and clinical service duties. Direct mentoring of students is an expectation of this position. The overall distribution of such activities and allocation of responsibilities is determined by the Department Chair based on specialty, student and clinic needs, amongst other appropriate considerations.
The CU School of Dental Medicine is hiring full-time, clinical track faculty to work in the Department of Pediatric Dentistry at the dental school and Children’s Hospital Colorado (CHCO). The successful candidate will be an outstanding clinician-educator with interest in, and commitment to clinical care, teaching, and scholarship. Pediatric dentistry faculty focus on providing care for all children, including those with special needs, by creating care plans that include special behavioral requirements as needed for each child.

The CU School of Dental Medicine is hiring part-time oral & maxillofacial surgeons (clinical track faculty) in the Division of Oral & Maxillofacial Surgery in the Department of Diagnostic Sciences and Surgical Dentistry. The successful candidate will be an Oral & Maxillofacial Surgeon, outstanding clinician-educator with interest in, and commitment to clinical care, teaching, and scholarship.
The CU School of Dental Medicine welcomes applications from exceptional candidates at the level of Clinical Teaching (C/T) track or tenure position (open rank) to expand its clinical and didactic teaching in the Department of Orthodontics. This position will also engage in research support and engagement at the pre- and post-doctoral level. This is a full-time faculty position offering. Initial rank is based upon knowledge, achievement, and experience, and with the opportunity for academic promotion based upon demonstrated, ongoing excellence in education, research, clinical care, and community service.

The University of Colorado School of Dental Medicine, supports a Summer Research Scholarship Program, enabling eligible students to experience basic science, clinical, public health and other research for a sustained period of time during the summer prior to beginning their dental studies. Depending on the level of accomplishment, students may have the opportunity to present their research at the annual American Association for Dental Research (AADR) meeting as well as other national and international scientific conferences that include student research competitions.
