The CU School of Dental Medicine is closely monitoring the guidance from the CDPHE, CDC, U.S. Department of State. The CU Anschutz Medical Campus also has additional COVID-19 resources online.
As a precaution, the CDPHE and the CDC have provided these tips to help prevent the spread of coronavirus:
Again, your health and safety and the health and safety of others are important to us.
The CU Dental clinics are open for care by appointment only. If you have an upcoming appointment, a member of our CU Dental team will reach out to you by email and phone.
When you arrive for your appointment, you will see some changes to our protocols. We did this for your safety and the safety of our dental providers.
Added Safety Measures
Your health and safety remain our top priority. We know this is a time of uncertainty. We want to assure you that we are following our local, state, and federal health authorities' guidance when it comes to proper safety protocols.
What to Expect Before/Day of Your Appointment
Appointment Confirmation: Our office will contact you one day before your appointment to confirm.
Health Screening Questions: We will also ask health screening questions and go over pandemic safety protocols.
If your answer is “yes” to any of the following, please contact your clinic to reschedule:
Do you have ANY OF THE FOLLOWING SYMPTOMS (not related to hay fever or seasonal allergies)?:
- Have you had close personal contact with known or suspected COVID-19 cases in the last 14 days or anyone who is symptomatic? If yes, what is the most recent date on which that patient had contact with someone who has been diagnosed?
- Have you been tested for, or are waiting results, or have been diagnosed with COVID-19 in the last 14 days?
- Do you have an essential accompanying visitor at this appointment? If yes, what is the relation to the patient?
Building Entry: On the day of your appointment, you will be asked health screening questions and have your temperature taken at the entrance.
Physical Distancing: Appointments will be managed to allow for physical (social) distancing between patients. That might mean that you’re offered fewer options for scheduling your appointment.
Kiosks: If you use the kiosks to check into your appointment, we ask that wipe it down after use with the sanitizing wipes provided.
Be Prompt: We ask you to be on time for your appointment. If you’re late, we may need to reschedule your appointment. Please call your clinic if there is an issue.
Vaccinations: Regardless of your vaccination status, you will be required to follow all School of Dental Medicine safety protocols.
